Mission Statement: Travel Club is a school club open to all students and their families with the focus on educational touring and global education. The group will plan and fund raise for trips that may be domestic or foreign depending upon student interest. Areas of exploration may include local museums or day trips as well as extended trips abroad or within the United States. Students will have opportunities to build skills through fund raising, marketing, and public relations. Students will also learn practical life skills such as navigating airports and immigration and customs procedures, reading train, bus and subway schedules, appreciation of time management, detailed planning, organization and packing skills. All students and families of Travel Club are welcome to attend other club activities such as lock ins, scuba diving, picnics, and club gatherings. Through these activities, the club will link closely with the community as well as parents and guardians. Travel opportunities will primarily be during summer or normal vacation periods.
